Position in Organization and Reporting Relationship

The position of Accounting Clerk is responsible for performing clerical tasks related to the accounts payable function. Reporting to the Director Finance, this is a full-time position based out of our head office in New Glasgow, Nova Scotia required for 40 hours per week.

Specific Roles and Responsibilities

· Adhering to all internal controls and procedures

· Receiving, processing, and verifying invoices

· Tracking purchase orders and receiving

· Processing payments

· Generating reports

Key Skills, Capabilities and Experience

· College diploma and a minimum 2 years of relevant experience

· Strong computer skills, specifically Microsoft Excel

· Experience in Sage 300 preferred

· Experience working in an industrial setting considered an asset
