Position Description Leads and coaches’ team (District Parts Managers) to consistently deliver on annual growth objectives via sales process, pipeline management and district/ regional business planning. As seen from the perspective of our dealer partners, the Regional Parts Director maintains a prioritized business relationship, and is incorporated into our dealers’ strategic planning process.
Coaches team on sales skills and negotiation skills in order to increase dealer partner engagement on sales and marketing programs to increase proprietary and aftermarket parts sales of the Volvo/Mack dealer network throughout the region of responsibility.
Communicates the vision and direction of the Volvo/Mack corporate organization to effectively facilitate the best efforts of the District Parts Managers (DPM’s). Works with both Volvo/Mack dealer partners, Fleet Customers and Volvo/Mack corporate sales and marketing teams cross functionally in a cooperative total solution effort that drives sales and margins.
Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities
- Lead and effectively coach the team of District Parts Managers (DPM’s) within the assigned region including on the most important sales activities, sales skill, opportunity pipeline management, effective use of technology tools, risk management and business performance analysis
- Empower the cross functional team concept in the region using regular meetings, feedback and joint training sessions where available.
- Support dealer partner growth objectives both revenue and profit with regional/national fleets
- Provide information and support to Volvo/Mack dealer partners that increases sales and margins
- Drive Volvo/Mack ranking as best in class in dealer partner satisfaction within the industry
- Drive Volvo/Mack ranking as best parts sales force within the industry
- Regularly distribute lead and lag measure reporting to direct reports supporting change management and attainment of objectives
- Keep all parties advised by submitting reports on time and in the proper manner
- Coach and train the district parts managers in the areas of sales skills, opportunity pipeline management, CRM daily calls reports, risk management and business performance analysis

Essential Educational and/or Training Qualifications and Certificates
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, or related field; MBA preferred
- Demonstrated Sales Leadership Experience and Knowledge
- 5 years’ experience in heavy duty truck, automotive, or related industry
- Experience operating and managing a business or business unit including full P&L responsibility and/or direct experience consulting small and mid-sized businesses in the areas of sales management, operations, risk management, finance, and human resources
- Previous sales management experience required
