Mackow Industries Looking for Operations Analyst at Winnipeg, MB Full Time

Reporting to the Controller with a dotted line to the General Manager, the Operations Analyst is responsible for reporting financial and operational metrics for Mackow’s facilities in Winnipeg and Fargo. Further, the Operations Analyst provides in-depth analysis of data with recommendations to improve overall efficiency, customer performance, and profitability. The Operations Analyst has excellent analytical capabilities and displays a high level of independent judgment, decision-making, detailed oriented, accuracy, creativity, and initiative.

The role appeals to the individual who has excellent analytical skills combined with business acumen gained working in an advanced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Enterprise system maintenance

• Ensure that Mackow’s production management tool is up to date
• Develop the reports from the production management system to better to support operations
• Continue to improve the quality of data in Mackow’s ERP to increase insight in to profitability

• Weekly operational reporting

• Develop a weekly operating dashboard with the General Manager
• Provide labour and throughput reporting

• Develop monthly profitability reporting including sales mix and margin analysis
• Inventory costing and analyze (by part) for Raw Materials, Work In Process (WIP) and Finished Goods (FG)
• Prepare operating expense monthly variance analysis

• Works with Sales Manager to develop and refine sales forecasting process
• Leads operating expense forecast process
• Complete required variance analysis; i.e. current Forecast/Budget vs. prior Forecast; Year over Year

• Part profitability review
• Business case development
• Lead the Inventory control process and annual inventory count

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years previous work experience in Finance or Accounting related field
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
• Experience in a manufacturing environment that uses an advanced ERP
• Proven track record of driving for results with minimal ongoing direction
• Proven track record of influencing decisions with great analytics
• Experience with cost center budgeting, reporting and analysis
• Highly skilled in Excel and SQL and eager to learn new systems

Salary: $60,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
