Job Profile: As an Accounting Data Analyst, you will collect and analyze customer data in an operationally efficient manner. You must be passionate about data and enjoy solving complex problems. The ideal candidate is curious, emotionally intelligent, self-starter, highly motivated; detail oriented and possesses a drive for continuous learning and self-improvement.
This position will require the candidate to work on site at Polycon Industries in Guelph, Ontario.
Your Responsibilities
Collecting, integrating and manipulating client supplied accounting data with our Infor software program into Excel for big data volumes
Accounts receivable functions and reconciliation of customer accounts
Completes month-end accruals and report preparation
Assists with preparation of year-end audit books
Respond to adhoc request for data analytics and insights
Other duties as required
Who we are looking for
Post-secondary education in business, finance, accounting, computer science, analytics or math preferred
2 or more years of relevant experience in a similar role
Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, Macro’s, VLOOKUP)
Knowledge in Accounting and Finance is an asset
Analytical skills backed by high proficiency dealing with data
Ability to tackle loosely defined problems by asking the right questions.
Strong organizational skills, comfortable with multi-tasking and project management abilities
Experience conducting deep dive analysis with large volumes of data
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Previous experience working with PowerBI and SQL is an asset
Experience with Accounts Receivable is an asset
Automotive industry experience is an asset
