Role Summary
The Technical Support Analyst in IT is responsible for providing technical assistance and support to the employees of the company in resolving IT-related issues. The role requires excellent troubleshooting skills, a strong understanding of computer systems and networks, and a customer-centric approach to problem-solving. The Technical Support Analyst will work closely with the IT team to ensure that all technical issues are resolved in a timely and efficient manner.
Key Qualifications/Requirements
University Degree/College Diploma in a related computer science program
OR
Minimum of 2 recent years of extensive hands-on experience in a similar position.
Experience working in an automotive manufacturing environment is desired.
Proficiency in configuring and maintaining shop floor hardware, including printers, tablets, workstations, and network devices.
Working knowledge and best practice of Microsoft infrastructure applications including but not limited to Windows Servers, Active Directory, InTune, Remote desktop services and Internet Information Services.
Proficiency in supporting and troubleshooting mobile phone-related issues, including but not limited to connectivity, app installation, and device configuration for specifically Android and iOS platforms.
Experience with Active Directory, Microsoft Office Suite, and other common business applications.
Familiarity with network protocols, such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN.
Ability to develop and present educational training programs and/or workshops.
Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities

Maintain extremely high ethical standards regarding all sensitive data.
Install, configure, & troubleshoot: software applications, operating systems, & network & mobile devices.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support IT projects and initiatives.
Continuously challenge past practices by actively exploring and implementing new solutions and methodologies to improve the quality and time to market of our product and services to the company.
Both participate in and facilitate departmental cross training on a day-to-day basis to provide the best possible support and protection of Magna operations by fostering a learning environment of sharing project, business, and technical knowledge with all other team members.
Responsible for ensuring alignment and compliance with common cybersecurity management frameworks, regulatory requirements, industry leading practices and Global Cybersecurity policies.
Provide afterhours support, overtime and travel – as required to support achievement of objectives.
