We are looking for an organized, dynamic, reliable and flexible individual to join our growing team. We are a home building company with sites across London and surrounding areas. Individual must be able to work efficiently, communicate well with project managers and trades, create and follow schedules, and deal with multiple conflicting priorities. Candidate must have thorough knowledge of the home building process as a whole.
Individual will:
– Working directly with the project manager, candidate will be responsible for the project from excavation to occupancy, as well as any resulting warranty work.
– Be able to read blueprints, grading plans, HVAC drawings, truss drawings, and all related documents.
– Be able to perform general labour activities on site such as back-framing, installing windows, preparing for flat work, rough grading, and general cleanup. Ability to use all hand tools and some small equipment.
– Be the main point of contact for all suppliers and trades, organizing and scheduling the delivery of materials to site and the coordination of tradespeople.
– Be responsible for the simultaneous construction of 15-20+ homes at one time, all at various points of construction.
– Be a respectable representative of company culture and ethics on site with tradespeople, home owners, neighbours and the general public and uphold company standards at all times.
– Deal with changing circumstances, issues that are raised on site, and unexpected circumstances by coming up with various solutions and reporting to project manager & management.
– Follow all health and safety protocols.
Ideal candidate will show up to work early and enthusiastically, prepared for whatever tasks are ahead of them and may arise throughout the day. No two days are alike!
