Maitland Valley Marina and Resort Parks Looking for Senior Accountant at Goderich, Ontario, Canada Full Time

The ideal candidate will have substantial exposure to monthly closing processes, forecasting and budgeting, and customer billing. They will be organized and approach each issue with an analytical mindset. 

Responsibilities

• Accounting, banking and payroll including financial statements, including supervision and training of staff to achieve timely and accurate processing of all data for multiple companies
• Onsite management of administration staffing
• Government compliance reporting and permit applications
• Position requires a senior level of experience gained in both manufacturing and customer oriented services

• Ensure business transactions are reported in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles
• Work closely with team members to assist with the month-end close
• Assist with the annual audit process including the draft of the financial statements and related notes
• Research and analyze expense variances for company management
• Rate of pay will be determined by qualifications at time of interviews, $26-$28/hr

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ of professional accounting experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics or equivalent experience
• CPA preferred
• MUST have experience in Ontario and be able to legally work in Canada
