The transportation analyst of Planning and Dispatch will be responsible for providing support to all members of planning team. This will include vacation coverage and support during high volume times of the year. This role will be the super-user within the team.
The successful candidate will be able to lead without authority and provide direction to the team when conflicting priorities arise. They must also be able to identify opportunities to improve key processes to reduce workload within the planning team and reduce costs for Maple Leaf Foods.
In addition, the successful candidate will work with transportation peers from other teams to align processes across the planning teams. They will also be working with peers on other teams on strategic cross-functional projects.
This role will be the back up to the Transportation Manager, will work closely with the manager to resolve budget variances and report directly to the leadership team when required.
This role will require after hours support to be shared with the team on a rotational basis.
