What does the Community Support Services team do?
Our Community Support Services team, which is primarily funded by governments, provides essential services that enable people to live as independently as possible. Whether the disability is physical, cognitive or the result of brain injury or aging, our team of 1,600 employees assists people in their homes and communities, helping them gain a greater level of functioning and connection with others. Over the past year, the number of people we serve rose to more than 6,100 people.
This Opportunity
We are currently looking to fill 2 union part-time Support Service Attendants roles.
Starting wage is $19.35 per hour plus $3 pandemic pay for direct client care.
In this role, you will assistclients living at home with non-medical activities of daily living in accordance with individual service plans and March of Dimes Canada policies and procedures.The clients you support may have physical or cognitive disabilities, be living with brain injuries or have disabilities related to aging.Your work will be guided by your clients’ directions and supported by experienced March of Dimes Canada staff members.
Duties include the following:
March of Dimes Canada provides 24-hour attendant care to its clients. Support Services Attendants work a variety of shifts (i.e., weekdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays) that vary between locations.
