MODC is looking for a Program Instructor based in the Halifax Regional Municipality. Please note, this is a one year contract.
Profile:
Reporting to the Regional Manager, Community Programs & After Stroke, the Program Instructor is responsible for planning and delivering program activities designed to maximize independence, build personal empowerment, and enhance community participation for adults, children and youth living with a disability. Working directly with participants, the Program Instructor will act as a positive role model, providing ongoing encouragement and support. The Program Instructor must have a genuine interest in the growth, development, and provision of a safe and nurturing environment for the clients they teach.
The Program Instructor will work collaboratively with other Program Instructors and the Coordinator, Volunteer Engagement within their respective region to ensure suitable clients and volunteers are integrated into program delivery.
The Program Instructor will work with the Regional Manager to ensure that program targets and deliverables are achieved on an annual basis and that the program operates within its assigned budget.
