Marcon Construction is seeking a skilled Construction Accountant for a full-time permanent position. Responsible for managing the activities of a portfolio of construction projects and corporate entities to ensure timely reporting and sound financial management. This role demands meticulous attention to detail and a high level of professionalism in executing the assigned responsibilities.
About The Role
- Partner with Controller and Project Administration team to operationalize budgets, cashflow forecasts and budget variance analyses.
- Collaborate with the Controller and Project Administration team to formulate budgets, cashflow forecasts, and conduct analyses on budget variances.
- Validate and authorize payments, journal entries, invoices, project funding deposits, and remittances.
- Support Accounts Payable processes, including verifying and approving invoices, managing payment authorizations, and ensuring accurate recording of financial transactions.
- Monitor and reconcile intercompany accounts to ensure accuracy and alignment. Compile year-end working papers, financial statements, and periodic reports for specific projects and corporations.
- Prepare compliance filings, including monthly GST returns, to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Conduct monthly bank reconciliations to verify financial accuracy and integrity.
- Establish new companies and projects within the accounting software system.
- Record and monitor assets and prepaid expenses to maintain accurate financial records.
- Undertake additional duties or projects as assigned periodically.
About You
- Professional designation or equivalent working experience preferred
- Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with conflicting deadlines
- Proficiency with MS Office
- Time management and multi-tasking

The compensation range for this role is $75,000 to $95,000 annually, depending on candidate experience and qualifications.
