Financial Analyst

Marquis is currently looking for a Financial Analyst to join its team.

Responsibilities of the Financial Analyst:

· Support the management of your unit by establishing and interpreting relationships between financial results and operational performance to identify opportunities for improvement;

· Develop new operational and financial performance indicators to facilitate the unit’s decision making;

· Actively participate in the resolution of issues raised by the various departments;

· Prepare, analyze and follow up on the plant’s investment projects;

· Continuously improve the plant’s internal controls;

· Analyze costs and improve data collection tools;

· Contribute to the development and implementation of new information management and analysis tools;

· Participate in the month-end process of the business unit and support the local accounting team;

· Coordinate the preparation of annual operating and capital budgets and follow up monthly;

· Participate in the management of inventory levels and be the financial resources for inventory management.

Skills required becoming a Financial Analyst:

· 2+ years of experience, ideally in a manufacturing company in a Plant Controller, Financial Analyst or other similar position

· A University degree in Finance/Accounting or Business Administration

· CPA designation completed or in progress

· Strong analytical and synthesis skills as well as good ability to interpret and communicate ideas and data, show initiative and achieve results in a team environment;

· Ability to manage multiple files, set priorities and meet deadlines;

· Proficiency in the MS Office suite with advanced Excel skills

· Excellent communication skills.
