YMCA Camp Santa Maria is seeking a leader to guide our amazing campers and staff at our picturesque overnight camp nestled in the heart of the Rocky Mountains near Grant, CO.
Our Program Director coordinates our frontline summer staff who provide direct service in programming and childcare. You will inspire, coach, lead, support and assess your staff team as you ensure high quality programs for campers. You will help ensure our staff are supported in creating transformative summer camp experiences for our campers.
Essential Functions
- Maintain a professional presence for YMCA Camp Santa Maria through appropriate staff and camper interactions.
- Directly supervises, provides developmental feedback, and evaluates up to six seasonal staff members: the Outdoor Program Manager, Head Cabin Leads, Head Program Instructor, and reports to the Assistant Camp Director.
- Implements high quality programming across camp in compliance with Colorado State and American Camp Association standards.
- Monitors and evaluates camp programming and formulates recommendations for Camp Santa Maria Leadership.
- Delegate and assist with staff members for program activities as needed.
- Support the Assistant Camp Director in programmatic all-staff training as needed.
- Support the Teens Program Director in winter and spring season programming as needed.
- Work with the YMCA Camp Santa Maria Leadership team on special projects and provide ideas.
- Support camp daily, weekly, and seasonally as an engaged member of planning and meeting sessions with Camp Santa Maria leadership.
- Coordinates staff and camper program schedules with the Administrative Assistant.
- Oversees the use of camp facilities for program activities and events.
- Models’ healthy relationship-building skills for campers and staff.
- Drive a 14-passenger Y bus for off-site camp trips as needed.
- Incorporate the mission, philosophy, and 5 core values of the YMCA of Northern Colorado in all communication with participants and staff-members.
- Other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- At least 21 years of age.
- One to two years related experience preferred.
- Must have a valid US driving license.
- Completion of: Child Abuse Prevention for Supervisory Staff, Staff Training, WFA, CPR, AED, and Bloodborne Pathogens, Leave No Trace Level 1 Instructor. Lifeguard certification is preferred.
- Completion of YMCA program specific certifications.
- Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.
- Experience in resident camp preferred.
- Ability to plan, lead and participate in a range of activities in a variety of outdoor and indoor settings.

Job Purpose
Your Role and Responsibilities
The Maintenance Helper position assists the Maintenance department with all activities. This role will assist Tool & Die Makers, Electricians, and Millwrights with priority and preventative maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Complete new or ongoing projects (5S, Tool, etc.)
- Complete necessary audits (5S, LPA)
- General organizing/clean-up of shop floor areas as required
- Suggest corrective actions and/or Continuous Improvements
- Assist with coil storage cleaning/organizing
- General plant housekeeping. (basement, tenant floor cleaner, cupboard, backyard)
- Ensure work area is clean, neat, orderly, and free of scrap materials
- Adhere to all Health and Safety procedures
- Assist team members to achieve work goals and objectives
- Daily communication with Team Leaders and team members
- Ensure work areas are clean, neat, and orderly
- Back up Production Associate as required
- Assist and implementation of new principles and practices
- Complete daily, weekly, and monthly checklists
- Assist in changeovers as required
- All other relevant duties and directed by the Tool Room or Maintenance Team Leaders/Managers
Key Requirements
- Grade 12, GED, or equivalent
- Apprenticeship, pre-apprenticeship, or trades related training an asset
- Must have Forklift License or have ability to obtain Forklift License
- Must have Overhead Crane Certification or have ability to obtain Overhead Crane Certification
- Must have Aerial Lift Platform Certification or have ability to obtain Aerial Lift Platform Certification
- Computer efficiency and systems knowledge in all required areas
