We are currently seeking a Financial Accountant to join our dynamic team in the beautiful town of Osoyoos, British Columbia. This role will report directly to the Director of Finance and will be responsible for financial planning, reporting, and analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts
- Conduct financial analysis and provide recommendations for process improvements
- Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes
- Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions
- Monitor and reconcile general ledger accounts
- Assist in the preparation and coordination of external audits
- Support the Financial Controller in ad-hoc projects and tasks
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA designation or in the process of obtaining CPA
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial analysis
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- This is a 100% office based position, the successful candidate must be willing to reside in Osoyoos BC.
Benefits
Matrix offers a competitive Base annual salary of between $75,000 and $110,000. Paid time off, ongoing professional development support, and company sponsored health benefits following successful completion of a probationary period.
