Overview
The Truck Driver position is a position that supports various locations and the mobile Demolition and Recovery Services team in BC and AB. This is a long haul position. The Truck Driver is out of town several days at a time (does not return to Edmonton every day) working away for up to 5 days at a time and can expect to be back in Edmonton on weekends. This is a full-time, permanent position; Hourly rate: $25-$35 based on level of experience
Job Summary
The Truck Driver is responsible for hauling B-train and Tridem Flat decks, loading, unloading, and hauling loads of scrap metal.
The Following Duties Are Required
- Occasionally Load, unload, and haul demolition boxes (large loads);
- Inspect and keep equipment in good condition;
- Maintenance of truck log in accordance with provincial and federal regulations;
- You will be mainly hauling in British Columbia and Alberta.
- Other duties as required.
Requirements
- 5+ years heavy hauling experience is preferred;
- Class 1 Driver’s license (required) with at least 2 years of experience;
- Clean drivers abstract with air endorsement;
- High school education;
- Relevant safety tickets;
- Intermediate reading and writing skills in English;
- MUST HAVE: a couple years of experience hauling B-train and tridem flat decks, and with strapping experience.
