Matrix IT Looking for Senior Network Engineer at Ottawa, ON Full Time

MatrixIT is experiencing massive growth in the IT support space and we’re looking for a couple more dynamic individuals to join our team and help our customers!

We’re looking for an intermediate to senior level helpdesk technician to join our helpdesk team here in Ottawa.

Qualifications;

• Strong customer service skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
• High school diploma and college or university enrollment/degree
• 1 to 3 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with a variety of the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
• Performs a variety of complicated tasks
• May lead and direct the work of others
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
• Ability to effectively and efficiently troubleshoot technical problems
• Good analytical skills
• Knowledge of computer and printer hardware
• Ability to thoroughly document troubleshooting steps and resolutions
• Be resourceful and able to take initiative in a dynamic environment
• Willingness to step up to the challenge
• Ability to work flexible hours to support the businesses needs.
• Ability to analyze and repair hardware; must know basic software configurations
• Must have own vehicle and insurance. Mileage is paid.

Required Experience:

• 1-3 Years Routing and Switching Experience.
• 1-3 Years Experience with Firewalls (Sophos, PFSense, Cisco, Fortinet, etc.)
• 1-3 Years Experience with VMWare, Azure or other Virtualization Platforms.

• Cisco Certifications
• VMWare Certifications
• Sophos Certifications
• Connectwise Manage / Automate Experience

Please note this is a local position and requires a physical presence in Ottawa. Remote work is not available for this position as it requires on site work to be completed.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $40,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
