Matrix is hiring Skilled Labourers for an outstanding commercial construction opportunity in Calgary, AB. The pay rate is $22/hr. Our client was established in Alberta in 1947 and in addition to building, the company provides services and products to the mining, oil & gas, communications, power, transportation, and infrastructure industries.
Hours of work:
Monday-Thursday – 7AM – 4:30 PM.
Friday – 7 AM – 3:30 PM.
Key Responsibilities:
1-2 year project.
Demolition & reconstruction of a large commercial building.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Versatile in all types of general carpentry/labour.
Proficient with the safe operation of tools and power tools.
Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings.
Must be able to work safely with other workers and abide by our client’s safety manual.
Working Conditions:
Must be willing to perform a wide variety of tasks with varying physical requirements from lifting, climbing ladders, and being on your feet for extended periods of time.
Must be willing to work at height & extended outdoor activity; exposure to varied weather conditions.
Requirements:
Reliable transportation preferred, LRT close by.
Qualifications:
Valid fall protection, scissor lift ticket & CSTS09 or 20.
Tool pouch & full PPE.
