Matrix is urgently hiring water treatment technicians for roles in Thompson, Manitoba. This role will feature a 2 week on & 2 week off rotation with 12 hour shifts. It will also offer fly-in/fly-out & hotel accommodations.

Scope of Work:
Leading in execution/implementation of all secure safety policies.

Lead by example & mentor junior staff.

Supervise subcontractors when applicable.

Coordinate & communicate effectively with the safety department.

Perform installation/commissioning/maintenance of custom built mobile water treatment equipment.

Optimize equipment & troubleshoot deficiencies.

Accurately collect & compile sample data.

Calibrate equipment as per operating manual requirements.

Interpret results & adjust equipment according to the lab results.

Qualifications:
Strong computer skills.

Ability to communicate with customers/suppliers/suncontractors/consultants.

Ability to work long hours.

Valid/current Class 5 Driver’s License.

Requirements:
2+ years experience & solid understanding of water treatment.

Understanding of water chemistry+environmental regulations.

Strong mechanical aptitude with hand tools.

Strong understanding of electrical systems & controls.

Ability to work unsupervised.

Ability to maintain strong organizational skills.
