Mattel Looking for Associate Manager, Finance – 16 Month Contract at Mississauga, ON Full Time

What Your Impact Will Be:

• Preparation of budgets and forecasts on annual and quarterly basis for Trade and Advertising Spend
• Prepare routine and ad-hoc analysis as required for trade and advertising spend
• Update, maintenance and ongoing improvement of various in-house tracking models
• Ensure assigned P&L and Balance sheet accounts responsibilities are reconciled and appropriate
• Analyze and summarize financial results against the plan, forecasts, and prior results to management
• Reconciliation of subledger to ledger for trade and advertising systems
• Preparation of weekly and periodic sales reporting and analysis
• Liaise with Regional Corporate management to understand spend and results
• Liaise with Sales and AR/Accounts Payable teams on issues and concerns
• Prepare, plan, and conduct validations on select deductions
• Provide process improvements within areas of responsibility
• Meet tight month end close and project timelines
• Other ad-hoc projects as required

What We’re Looking For:

• Demonstrated a growth mindset by staying curious and continuously learning, embracing challenges, and improving themselves.
• CPA/MBA designation or final stages preferred
• 3+ years of experience in accounting/finance
• Minimum 2+ years of experience in trade spend in a packaged goods industry
• Excellent analytical skills and the ability to translate analytical findings into actionable solutions and processes
• Experienced with Microsoft Office applications (advanced Excel), along with working knowledge of Oracle, Hyperion, Cognos tools an advantage
• Must be a team player capable of adapting and performing effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Able to develop strong working relationships across cross functional teams
