Matters of Health Medical Clinic Looking for Asymptomatic Covid Testing Administration and/or Sample Collection at Vancouver, BC Full Time

Currently looking for candidate with flexible availability (our hours are 8:00AM-4:00PM) IN THE OFFICE IN KERRISDALE NOT REMOTE.

Pay: Training is $16/hr, afterwards will increase hourly pay and/or add commission pay depending on performance. Usually, staff gets around $30/hr on a busy day.

Typical Duties include:

• Priority: COVID sample collection.
• Effectively answer covid testing related inquiries in person, via email, text, or on the phone.
• Appointment coordination (strategic booking to maximize appointment booked through coordination with collection specialist and amount of appointment request; set up covid testing appointments in EMR, send out reminders and intake forms as necessary).
• Daily test reports management (Checking results in a timely manner, creating and sending reports with accuracy and efficiency).
• Screen patients and verify demographic information.
• Prepare Lab requisitions with accurate patient information; Complete with required patient demographics and other information related to processing test results.
• Strong attention to detail and work ethic.
• Good time management and organization skills.
• Great communication skills; maintain good client relations, including responding to inquiries and following up on requests.
• Proficiency with Microsoft, PDF adobe, Google, Data entry.
• Adept in learning and application of new info and protocols.
• Assist with outreach to community and corporations to promote covid testings for travel and work.
• Experience working with EMR is an asset, previous customer service role or MOA experience is an asset but not a must.
• For sample collection staff, successful completion of a BCSLS Approved Medical Lab Assistant program, certification in BC, or CSMLS

(Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science) certified, or equivalent related experience such as working as a healthcare professional with previous training or experience in phlebotomy, e.g. RN, LPN, MLT. One (1) year’s recent related experience or has an equivalent combination of education, training and experience

• Fluency in English is a must, second language is an asset.
• IT background/knowledge/experience is an asset

Job Types: Part-time, Casual
Part-time hours: 16 per week

Salary: $16.00-$30.00 per hour
