Looking for a Senior Financial Analyst, FP&A. This person is a key member of the North American FP&A team, contributing to the forecasting and planning process, monthly reporting, digital initiatives, and providing support to functional teams (sales, marketing, etc.). This role can be located in our Toronto, Florenceville or Oakbrook Terrace location.
How You’ll Add Value:
Support McCain’s annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes by ensuring assumptions are consistent, data is accurate, and risks and opportunities are understood.
Coordinate with key financial and functional business stakeholders for timely and accurate budgeting / forecasting.
Assist in the development and communication of financial and business review presentations to senior leadership and functional owners.
Support management decision-making through analysis of past performance and projecting financial scenarios.
Identify opportunities for business improvement.
Provide management with on-going risk assessment against budget objectives.
Support digital finance initiatives including working closely with project team members on utilizing and improving financial forecast system.
Prepare ad-hoc financial analysis as requested by functional owners.
About You:
University degree in Business or Finance
Nice to have: Accounting designation and/or MBA
3-5 years of financial analysis and/or accounting experience
Consumer products or foods experience a definite plus
Solid understanding of IFRS and general financial analysis concepts such as margin analysis, ROI, etc.
Strong technical, analytical and systems skills
SAP and OneStream experience preferred
Self-starter, able to work independently
Solid verbal and written communication skills
Detail-oriented and strong organizational skills
Business acumen: can explain the story behind the numbers and recommend solutions
Ability to build relationships, manage conflict and embrace change
Ability to apply broad business perspectives and experiences to identify opportunities/risks
Strong analytical abilities and problem-solving skills
Result-oriented, hands-on, highly motivated, and autonomous
Exceptional communicator and business partner
