Role Description High Level
Key components of the role:
Accounting
Inventory
· Work with IT and Finance to develop a cost of goods sold reporting strategy that tracks margin, by product; leverage information to inform product strategy going forward.
Duties
· Develop a system for maintaining accurate record keeping and tracking of school board and school renewals, as well as potential RFPs
o Based on data, identify renewal pattern and at-risk boards.
· Develop a template for school, product, geography, and grade sales analytics and develop a weekly report. Leverage report to make proactive recommendations on marketing strategy and product development.
o In the short term, manual data manipulation may be required.
o In the medium-long term, link with the existing IT system, to track sales performance.
· Working alongside the account executive team, develop and maintain sales growth forecast, inclusive of same school growth, net new business, and category expansion, leveraging consumer insight and data to build a fact-based and achievable plan.
· Work with teams, cross functionally, to arrive at a holistic pricing model that takes into account school size, length of contract, etc. to have ‘rationale’ for different price levels; develop a wholesale pricing model (updating gross margin calculator).
Your Experience
· Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
· 3+ years of direct experience in a quantitative field – accounting / finance.
· CPA designation or working towards on.
· Proven financial management experience and proven ability to analyze and interpret financial results.
· Ability to contribute and advise management on issues relating to accounting, internal controls, and financial analysis.
· Proficient in MS Office, with exceptional Microsoft Excel skills.
· Strong project management and planning skills.
· Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
