Qualifications:
Minimum 4+ years of Senior payroll processing experience holding a CPA certification and keen working knowledge of payroll. CPA certification and being a part of the Canadian Payroll Association is a must.
Keep up to date with the latest Government and Employment Standards rules and ensure they are brought to management’s attention and implemented.
Minimum 4+ years of Human Resources experience with a combination of education and/or working knowledge. Diploma or Certificate are considered an asset.
Prior experience working with ADP Workforce now is considered an asset
Strong working knowledge with Microsoft 365, Word, Excel, Outlook, Planner and Google Docs
Responsibilities:
Process bi-weekly payroll for 100+ salary and hourly staff, tracking vacation, missed time, overtime and all other payroll processes for each complete cycle.
Maintain employee payroll data using ADP Workforce Now (electronic & hard) including, increases, position changes, benefits and company matched savings plans.
Process new employee onboarding and offboarding in a timely manner
Verify, project and track vacation requests and administration of employees accrued balances.
Manage internal and external payroll inquiries by providing accurate and timely responses, ensuring confidentiality is strictly maintained.
Assist with day-to-day operations of the HR functions and duties
Assist and engage in communication with over 100+ staff for HR issues, policies, and guidelines
Keep up to date with the latest HR trends and best practices within legislative regulations
Process documentation and prepare reports relating to personnel and payroll activities
Advertise, pre-screen and assist with the recruiting of personnel for various positions in all departments
As a first contact coordinate communications with prospective candidates and schedule interviews
Requirements:
Must be able to manage, organize and prioritize daily tasks in fast paced environment
Meticulous attention to detail when analyzing data to check for errors and inaccuracies
Confident, articulate, and professional speaking abilities
Ability to accurately follow instructions and ask questions when required
What we offer: Position fulfills 75 hours Bi-weekly, Monday – Friday, 8:30am-5pm with every third Friday off.
