MealSuite Looking for Integration Specialist – Healthcare at Waterloo, ON Full Time

MealSuite is changing the foodservice software space for healthcare. We specialize in building software specifically for the continuum of care that services from acute complex care to independent living.

We are looking for a knowledgeable Integration Specialist to help lead the successful deployment and provide ongoing support of interfaces between the MealSuite applications and Electronic Health/Medical Records (EHR/EMR). You’ll take the hassle out of resolving technical problems to users to maximize the value of technology in business. An integration Specialist must be knowledgeable and customer-oriented. Communication is everything for this role, so we expect you to amaze us with your presentation skills. We’re further looking for superior technical expertise and a problem-solving aptitude.

Responsibilities*

• Elaborate and execute a project plan for new integration projects including test plans
• Communicate workflow or setup recommendations to onboarding team and customer
• Communicate system requirements and integration expectations to customers and prospects
• Evaluate and select appropriate software and suggest integration methods
• Investigate, document and escalate reported integration problems and concerns with the support team, onboarding customer and/or EHR/EMR Vendor
• Prepare, test and document connection channels (ex. VPN, Web Services, SFTP, etc.) for new integrations between other vendors and organization
• Address technical concerns, ideas and suggestions
• Monitor systems to ensure they meet both user needs and business goal

Requirements

• Experience working on HL7 based integrations
• Understanding or experience with Mirth is a plus
• Ability to troubleshoot technical issues
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to explain and summarize complex technological problems in layman’s terms to non technological individuals
• Problem-solving aptitude
• Organizational and leadership skills
• BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
• Knowledge of SQL and JavaScript are a plus
