What you will do
The Medical Information Specialist is expected to demonstrate expertise in assigned pharmaceutical products and devices, and to utilize this expertise to respond to inquiries from Health Care Professionals via appropriate exchange of scientifically accurate, focused, and balanced scientific knowledge. Consumer inquiry support may also be required with some clients.
Main requirements
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the following essential duties satisfactorily:
· Collect and report adverse event data and product complaint data to drug safety departments and quality departments, respectively, within required timeframe;
· Thoroughly and accurately document cases in medical information database, consistent with operational procedures;
· Comply with all guidelines, policies, legal, regulatory, and compliance requirements;
· Participate in scientific training, as appropriate, to support assigned brands;
· Perform other duties as requested.
Candidate profile
· Advanced health professional degree – PharmD mandatory;
· One to three years of related experience preferred; Demonstrated expertise in drug information and management preferred;
· Fluent level of spoken and written English and French canadian;
· Proficient in e-mail and verbal communication;
· Above-average attention to detail, teamwork and initiative;
· Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and quickly able to learn new software;
· Ability to apply regulatory and compliance guidelines to scientific information exchange;
· Proactive, Liable and Team Worker.
