Job Description

We are looking for a dynamic individual with 3-5 years of experience to fill the position of Corporate Development Associate. This position encompasses a full mix of responsibilities in both market research and corporate development, offering a unique opportunity for professional growth and skills diversification.

Main Responsibilities

Prospecting

• Carry out detailed and reliable market analyses in the field of healthcare information technology, mainly in the areas of electronic medical records (“EMR”) and clinical management solutions (“CMS”);
• Establish and maintain a comprehensive database of EMRs and CMSs in targeted regions, to obtain a segmented and actionable view of the competitive landscape, as well as a potential list of acquisition targets, and maintain contact with these targets;

Competitive intelligence

• Assume a market intelligence role, both in terms of identifying market trends affecting SAAS and healthcare IT companies, and in terms of M&A transactional trends in the field, and implementing best practices;
• Draw up reports and conclusions based on market analyses and present them in a relevant manner to senior management;

Preliminary analysis

• Contribute to the preliminary analysis of acquisition targets;
• Prepare financial projection models and other relevant analyses related to M&A projects, partnerships or strategic initiatives;
• Prepare various presentations required by senior management and board members throughout the investment and partnership process;

Due diligence

• Participate in the due diligence of targets;
• Collaborate with and coordinate various departments in the progress and completion of due diligence;

Integration

• Play a supporting role in the integration of post-acquisition companies, working in tandem with the various teams involved (finance, HR, treasury, FP&A, operations, etc.).

Qualifications

• University degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field (CFA / CBV / CPA designation an asset).
• 3 to 5 years’ relevant professional experience in corporate finance, investment banking, business development or any other field deemed relevant.
• Excellent understanding of corporate finance, accounting and SaaS concepts.
• Fluency in French and English.
