JOB PURPOSE:

Reporting to the CM the ACM is responsible for assisting with the efficient day to day operations of the clinic. The ACM works collaboratively with the CM, physicians, patients, clients, vendors and other internal and external customers to execute the organization’s strategic objectives and support high quality patient care. This role assists the CM in ensuring excellence in the provision of all clinic support services by supporting our administrative and medical teams within the clinic.

Financial:

Supports in the adherence to the clinic budget, including labour and clinic expenses.

Other:

Supports in the supervision and training of all clinic employees.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Patient Care:

• Champions a culture of excellent customer service that supports our patients and physicians.

Clinic Management:

• Assists the CM to achieve performance goals including, but not limited to, patient retention, patient satisfaction, patient count, expense management, operational targets, and patient, physician, and staff engagement.
• Ensures adherence to company policies, processes, and procedures.
• Ensures standards of cleanliness and safety are maintained.
• Exemplifies the organizations core values and ensure staff are aware of organization’s core purpose and core values and are performing to these standards on an ongoing basis
• Ensures clinic equipment is well maintained.
• Supports with the management of clinic staffing levels for adherence to the staffing model.
• Supports in the hiring and training of new team members.

Administrative Duties:

• Ensures optimal levels of medical and office supplies within the clinic.
• Ensure billing errors are corrected and accurately corrected and resubmitted to MOH.
• Supports with clinic reporting as required.
• Supports with appropriate cash handling procedures as per company policy.
• Ensures EMR is protected and safeguarded according to organizational policy

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• 1-2 years clinic experience required.
• Previous supervisory experience is an asset.
• Customer service focus with strong communication skills.
• Detail oriented with exceptional problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated ability to be adaptable and flexible.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate teams.
• Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to handle confidential information in compliance with the Health Information Act guidelines.

CONTEXT AND ENVIRONMENT:

Ability to work flexible shifts including evenings and weekends as required. Works directly with the public which may at times require working with difficult and even aggressive patients in a safe manner.
