Scale Operator & Cashier

The role includes weighing customer purchases & sales, processing various forms of payment for commodities and provide support and administrative coordination across the organization. The position combines administrative, reception and premises / office management responsibilities including, but not limited to, the following:

• Responsible for weighing in and out all scale traffic, verifying scale tickets, and ensuring payment
• Operating weigh scales and scale software
• Maintain radio communication with operations
• Follows all cash handling procedures – meeting and exceeding cashier variance policy.
• Arrives to work station in a timely manner ready to start shift on time, appropriately dressed and ready to work; works all scheduled shifts and attends required trainings and meetings.
• Provides excellent customer service, addresses needs of customers in a timely and effective manner
• Performs opening and closing duties as assigned; ensures accuracy of pricing and end of day reconciliation.
• Performs other duties as assigned by leadership.
• Daily administration support
• Provide general administrative and reception services;
• Provide accounting support
• Execute and manage invoice payment;
• Create and maintain filing system invoices and other finance related documents
• Provides friendly, knowledgeable customer service with excellent product knowledge
• This job requires open availability which may include Opening, Closing as well as Weekends.
• Manage and file a variety of records, both hard copy and electronic on a continual basis
• Ensure that all systems and processes run efficiently, making revisions as needed
• May occasionally be required to work extended hours to meet critical deadlines

Requirements:

• Basic knowledge of Microsoft office, data entry and adaptive learning
• Effective communication skills (oral and written)
• Attention to detail
• Strong basic math skills
• Demonstrate ability to multitask, react to changing conditions and function well under the pressure of deadlines
• Ability to work in fast pace environment
• Good organizational, time management and prioritizing skills
• Ability to work productively in a team environment & independently
• Ability to show initiative and support where needed

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $18.00-$25.00 per hour
