Summary
Monitor, control and manage business operations to meeting customer expectations and company goals.
Specific Responsibilities
Responsible to the Operations Manager
Ensures that deliveries are on time and as planned
Communicates with all store of delays and provide ETA’s
Maintains proper equipment allocations for each DC as required daily
Follows up on any equipment failures to ensure timely repairs
Be the first point of contact for the stakeholder
Monitors and reports on each DC’s on time performance, communicates and identifies potential service failures
Develop and coordinate the tactical transportation plans for multiple customer
Maintain and verify load information and details for accuracy and availability
Capture and report on all carrier performance trending
Respond to customer queries regarding the status of their shipment pickups, and delays
Provide timely communications and customer service functions in a multi-customer environment
Establish and maintain effective relationships with Metro distribution network through professional and timely communication and inquiry responses
Prepare related documentation in accordance with the set operational procedures
Resolve store delivery issues and if necessary, elevate to management for resolution
Assist in incident investigations and determine causes and corrective actions
Maintain current knowledge of industry standards & practices applicable
Interface with a variety of people on both routine and complex issues
Develop and maintain positive relationships with carriers and service providers
Required to be cross trained on each function of the sector
Ensures Department processes and procedures are adhered to
Responsible for the collection of data for the department KPI’s
Monitor and react to store wait times to reduce cumulative totals
Qualifications
College degree in related field
Experience needed SAP, JDA, all MS office applications
1 – 5 years previous experience in the Transportation industry
Excellent Oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
Handles high stress situations in a professional manner.
Ability to speak French an asset
