We are in a look-out for two (2) Logistics Coordinators. The Logistics Coordinator will be reporting to the Transportation Manager, the Logistics Coordinator is responsible to provide end to end successful pick-up and delivery of each shipment. Acts as the liaison between the customer, warehouse operations, cross dock and the transportation provider. Acting as a first point of contact, must efficiently responds to customer inquiries ensuring service level agreements are met or exceeded.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develops and maintains positive relationships with the Provinces, Licensed Producers, Metro Cross dock operations and Transportation Service Providers.
Acts as a first point of contact for the customer and responds to customer inquiries and concerns.
Schedules outbound and inbound carrier appointments by selecting the most service appropriate cost and time efficient mode.
Receives and process customer orders.
Coordinates with operations to accommodate delivery of customer rush orders.
Maintains up-to-date customer set-up in Transportation Management System (TMS) including workflows, customer order notes, special instructions and other changes to ensure customer and carrier profiles are accurate.
Assists operations to organize workflow to meet customer demand using TMS.
Maintains new or changed carrier set-up in TMS including carrier SCAC code set-up.
Creates and run reports from TMS.
Reports customer feedback to management, including customer dissatisfaction.
Performs administrative functions such as filing, BOL scanning.
Responds to emails in a timely manner with solutions-oriented content.
Perform additional duties assigned by leadership.
EDUCATION:
Completion of secondary school diploma preferred or the equivalent in combination of education and experience.
College diploma in administrative studies is an asset.
Holds or is working towards the CITT designation – CCLP.
EXPERIENCE:
3 – 5 years’ experience working in a similar role.
Previous experience in an automated logistics environment preferred.
CORE COMPETENCIES:
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, French and English.
Service oriented with strong customer service skills and commitment to quality of work.
Intermediate knowledge TMS system, preferably TMW Truckmate.
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft office products – Excel, Word and Email.
Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
Organized and goal oriented.
