Metrotown Floors + Interiors is seeking a full-time, motivated Project Manager Assistant to add to our growing team. The ideal candidate must be professional, punctual, have a positive attitude and exceptional customer service skills.
In this position you will be working closely with/in support of a team of Project Managers. You are self-motivated, ambitious, diligent and take pride in your work. You have good written and oral communication skills, are proficient in the use of computers and have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel. Experience as a Project Manager Assistant is a definite asset. Experience in the construction, interior design or flooring industry would also be ideal.
Some of your main duties will include:
· Answer to emails in a timely manner
· Create new estimates and quotes for new jobs
· Follow up on each Project Manager and their jobs
· Schedule installers and create work orders
· Keep track of order status, estimates, approvals, etc.
· Schedule deliveries and pick-ups with dispatch
· Communicate with homeowners/building managers to coordinate access for deliveries
· Update job files with detailed notes
· Make sure all jobs stay on schedule and note schedule changes
· Communicate with Project Managers, clients, and homeowners regarding changes to job schedules, material order ETAs etc.
· Prioritize multiple tasks in order of urgency
· Call suppliers for stock/price checks
· Assist Project Managers with product selections and finding different products in the showroom
· Attend Product Knowledge seminars
