DESCRIPTION

Michels Canada is looking for an energetic, service oriented Talent Acquisition Coordinator to join the Michels Canada Human Resources team. Working alongside of dynamic, multi skilled team of HR professionals, the Talent Acquisition Coordinator will support full cycle recruitment and the hiring process, as well as providing administrative support functions to the Talent Acquisition Business Partners. This role will also be responsible for the delivery of employee onboarding processes for the Nisku head office, and will support Craft Recruitment for major project ramp ups when required.

This position will be based in Nisku, AB and is an onsite position, Monday – Friday.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain and promote a strong safety culture for all employees, vendors, and customers and follow all safety policies, procedures and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions
• Conduct full cycle recruitment activities for business units across all divisions. Activities include sourcing, prescreening candidates, coordinating and facilitating interviews, communicating with internal and external stakeholders to follow up on timelines, or hiring decisions, conducts reference checks, and coordinates other pre-employment tests as necessary.
• Support the Talent Acquisition team by building and managing talent pipelines for administrative, technical and/or hard-to fill positions within JazzHR.
• Responding to inquiries on the Michels Canada careers email account.
• Administer the ATS System (JazzHR), posting new positions, prescreening resumes and scheduling interviews, distributing offer letters and welcome emails.
• Facilitate interviews both in-person and virtual and ensures candidate experience is positively delivered.
• Hire qualified candidates by following salary recommendation and approval process.
• Support HR Generalist with new hire onboarding activities for the Nisku Head Office.
• Participate in Michels sponsored job/community fairs to promote the Michels Canada culture and opportunities.
• Support craft recruitment project ramp ups if required. This includes processing high volume candidates in tight time frames.
• Promote Michels Canada’s reputation as “best place to work”.
• Other duties as required.

REQUIREMENTS

• 2+ years of experience in a full cycle recruitment environment.

DESIRED SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS

• Strong computer proficiency with multiple operating systems including MS 365, SharePoint. Advanced level experience using Word/Excel is an asset.
• Experience working with ATS process flows and tracking candidate status changes within the ATS is an asset.

EDUCATION

• Completion of a diploma or degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology or other related discipline.

LANGUAGES

• Must be able to fluently read and write in English.
