Mier Human Capital Looking for Accounts Payable Clerk at York, Ontario, Canada Full Time

Our client in York Region is actively looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join their team.

Title: Accounts Payable Clerk

Location: York Region, ON

Length of Assignment: Temporary – Permanent

Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for completing payments and controlling expenses by receiving, processing,
• Responsible for printing invoices from the mailbox, in the morning verifying, and reconciling invoices.
• Responsible for updating spreadsheet tracking the incoming invoices/statements
• Sending non po invoices for approval and gl coding to respective plants
• Reporting month end closing
• Processing inventory and non-inventory invoices (high volume)
• Opening incoming mail
• Communicating with internal and external vendors in regards to payment inquiries
• Responsible for weekly, monthly vendor reconciliation
• 3 way matching
• Reonciliations
• Running weekly AP reports such as received not vouchered, aged, mismatch

Qualifications

• Undergraduate Degree in Business, Finance or Accounting (Desired).
• Minimum 2 years of Accounts Payable experience in the manufacturing Industry within Accounting-Finance environment or an equivalent combination of both is required.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• High level of organizational and time management skills.
• Problem solving skills.
• Intermediate Microsoft (Windows XP, Office Products,) skills. Familiar with ERP Systems – MAPICS /AS400 (Desired).
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to research information throughout a variety of sources.
