Mier Human Capital Looking for Construction Contract Administrator at Toronto, Ontario, Canada Full Time

Responsibilities

• Prepare and/or review bid packages for lead development projects.
• Receive and review bids from bidding contractors and prepare preliminary budget summaries.
• Coordinate the drafting, review, and execution of construction contracts.
• Ensure that all contracts comply with company policies and legal requirements.
• Collaborate with internal departments and external parties to resolve issues related to contract terms and conditions.
• Manage document execution and internal approval coordinated with project budget.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to contracts and related correspondence.
• Maintain project level budgets on bi-weekly basis with Construction Management team, external consultants, and contracted partner.
• Maintain aggregate development program budget summary.
• Manage contracts within contract management system (Coupa)
• Manage change orders and close-out documents for lead development projects.
• Proactively identify areas for improvement within the contract management process and recommend solutions.

Essential Duties

• Manage tender process:
• Manage Consultant’s RFPs within renovation and new development program (225)
• Manage general contractor RFPs for lead projects (30)
• Contract Management
• Handle large volume of projects and multiple priorities within deadlines
• Collaborate between Internal teams and external consultants

Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Construction contract management or related field
• Ability to draft, review and negotiate contracts
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Excellent organizational skills in order to manage large number of project files
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Familiarity with legal terminology and contract law
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field preferred
