Miles Ahead Looking for Credit Risk Analyst at Brampton, ON Full Time

Duties include any or all of the following:

• Monitor and report on the organization’s performance against key risk metrics, policy limits and risk appetite as they relate to credit and counterparty credit risk.
• Review of trading processes and transactions and related journal entries/reconciliations
• Accurately complete and submit credit and counterparty risk reports, as required.
• Perform third party financial risk assessment, financial statement review and operational review (ie. Mine plan, production forecast, 43-101).
• Conduct credit risk stress testing and associated calculations.
• Independently assess and analyze data, create comprehensive reports and data communication tools to provide guidance in credit risk analytics.
• Develop and implement scenarios for existing and emerging risks that can be used in simulation exercises as part of a broader risk framework.
• Collaborate with the various departments to develop assessment criteria, leading to the continuous improvement of policies, standards and procedures.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting closing process
• Work with counterparties/lawyers to review loan documentation, security and ensure adequate documentation and approvals
• Analyze insurance requirements for loss payee on new arrangements
• Filing security interests in different jurisdictions
• Other risk related work as assigned
• Support for lease and consignment business
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

TRAVEL:

This position may require international travel to visit other sites and attend meetings or training as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE

• Undergraduate degree in finance, economics, mathematics or related discipline
• Designated accounted or equivalent desirable– CPA, CA, CPA, CMA, CPA, CGA, CFA, FRM
• Minimum 5 years experience in a role related to credit and finance risk
• Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Word and Excel, and excellent financial modeling skills.
• Mining, precious metals, credit risk management, or related experience
• Knowledge of investment securities instruments and commodity derivatives.
• In-depth knowledge of IFRS, including IFRS 9
• Ability to interpret information from various sources and produce high-quality written analyses.
• Ability to assign and defend credit ratings internally

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $150,000.00-$155,000.00 per year
