Position: Part-Time Bookkeeper
Miller Canfield LLP is a leading international law firm that represents clients throughout Canada, the United States, and overseas.
The Windsor, Ontario office of Miller Canfield LLP is currently seeking to add a Bookkeeper (Part-Time) to our team. The successful applicant will work closely with our accounting department and be responsible for overseeing accounts receivable and billing processes.

Key Qualifications
The major responsibilities of this role will include:
· Experience in bookkeeping or accounting, preferably in a law firm or professional services environment.
· Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field is an asset, but not required.
· Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Unity, PC Law).
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Outlook, and Excel.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
· Knowledge of legal industry billing practices and regulations is a plus.
· Professional demeanor and strong work ethic.
· Availability to work part-time hours (20-25 hours per week) during regular business hours.
· Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities in a supportive and dynamic work environment.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, we will need you to work our team to:
· Manage all financial transactions for the firm, including accounts payable and receivable.
· Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using accounting software.
· Prepare financial reports, budgets, and forecasts for management review.
· Assist with tax preparation and compliance.
· Monitor and analyze financial data to identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
· Assist with wire transfers, cheques, and related attendances for real estate and corporate closings.
· Collaborate with lawyers and staff to address any financial inquiries or concerns.
