(Starting Remote Hybrid 1 Day Per Week In New Mississauga ON Office)
You will be an Software Development Manager working in the UI Platform team reporting to the Director of Engineering. You will be responsible for recruitment, line management, coaching and development of the team, as well as contributing to the code base. This is a hands-on position. You will ensure the team are delivering against the roadmap and priorities, as well as participate in the sprint work.
Key responsibilities:
Work with Product Management, Architecture, UX and QA to build plans and progress reports
Work with the team members to successfully deliver against the team roadmap
Work across the organisation to unblock team dependencies, co-design, and co-plan multi-team projects
Represent the team in design, progress, and sprint reviews with senior management
Deliver tested, high-quality, peer reviewed code
Drive Agile ceremonies such as stand-ups, refinement, and sprint planning
Take ownership and create accountability within the team
Recruit and manage engineering staff
Coach and mentor team members
You’ll need:
Have experience of line-management of small, cross-functional teams
Have experience of recruiting a high-performing team
Have experience in Software Development life cycle
Have strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop good working relationships and build and mentor a strong and efficient team.
Have a demonstrated track record of leading a product to success as defined by quantifiable metrics
Have experience with CI/CD Pipelines
Have experience of software security, security reviews and secure coding
Have expertise in continuous improvement delivering quality code and solutions.
Have a drive to learn new technologies and share knowledge with the team
Be a driven, self-starter who can take and drive the initiative
7+ years of UI Engineering experience with Front End Development
3+ years of management experience or tech lead role
