MiNextStep is a startup that aims to empower young professionals to build the career they want by aspiring to advance through connecting, networking, mentorship, and more.
What Will You Accomplish?
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements for web interfaces, understanding user needs and business goals
- Design visually appealing and user-centered layouts for our website and web app using tools like Figma (required), or Adobe
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs that align with our brand identity and enhance user experience
- Work closely with developers to implement designs
- Stay up-to-date with the latest design trends, technologies, and best practices
- Collaborate with marketing and product teams to create cohesive visual experiences
What Are We Looking For?
Your academics and professional experience:
- Currently studying or a fresh graduate (graduated in the past 3 years) with a bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Interaction Design, or a related field
- 0 to 3 years of experience working as a UI/UX Designer, preferably in a web development environment
- Proficient in design tools such as Figma, Adobe, and Photoshop
- Familiarity with responsive design and cross-platform compatibility
- Portfolio showcasing your best design work
Your attitude, interpersonal, and communication skills:
- Able to manage deadlines and work collaboratively in a fast-paced and highly dynamic environment
- Creative thinker with a passion for design and a strong attention to detail
- Open to feedback and able to iterate on designs as needed
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain design decisions and collaborate with stakeholders
- Is patient, approachable, willing to support, and able to reflect on others’ needs and requests
