What can I expect to do in this role?
In this role, you will:
- receive, organize, type and prepare all correspondence/reports
- attend meetings to take minutes and prepare/distribute minutes
- prepare, process and verify a variety of human resources documents
- provide information, advice, explanations and/or presentations to line managers or employees
- analyze and provide statistical data reports
How do I qualify?
Knowledge & Experience
- You have good knowledge of office procedures, and the ability to manage a high volume of incoming requests
- You are able to organize the busy schedule of the Director and prioritize a number of competing requests
- You have good knowledge of relevant human resource policies, procedures and collective agreements that govern HR administration activities
- You can provide timely and effective human resources related support in the areas recruitment, pay and position administration and attendance administration
Analytical, Problem Solving and Administrative Skills
- You have excellent knowledge of office and administrative procedures and practices and strong organizational skills
- You can identify discrepancies and take corrective action by evaluating alternatives, reviewing precedents, and selecting the appropriate application for individual situations
Communication & Interpersonal Service Skills
- You possess excellent oral communication, customer service and interpersonal skills
- You have good written communication skills
Computer Skills
- You have knowledge of computer software including organizational charts, spreadsheets, word-processing and corporate reporting database software e.g. Workforce Information Network
