Your role on our Team:
- The Warranty Manager is responsible for leading the team and providing quality control during the home-building delivery phase while ensuring that warranty programs and corporate customer care strategies are managed for the Warranty site offices.
In this role, your responsibilities will include the following:
- Reviews and follows up on all scheduled appointments, including service calls and inspections daily.
- Participates in escalated Warranty issues with the Homeowner, including resolving warrantable items.
- Liaison with our warranty partners, including portal access, review, and reporting, attending conciliations, and monitoring results of MSDs.
- Review and approve work orders, invoices, back charges, and cheque requisitions.
- Review customer satisfaction surveys and implement customer excellence programs and procedures.
- Reviews and analyses trends in defect resolution, service call efficiency, and customer satisfaction reports while implementing action plans for improvement.
- Manages all coordinators and technicians and assists with quality control, closing homes, and Homeowner issues.
- Prepares and monitors seasonal work schedules for completion according to Alberta’s warranty guidelines.
- Chairs weekly Warranty meetings and keeps production and head office current.
- Participates in small claims actions, attends LAT/BAT hearings, and liaises with lawyers as required.
- Conduct inspections with Homeowners is required.
- Assist with administering condo common elements turnover and performance audit repairs.
- Key driver of customer satisfaction and management of the customer experience plan
- Assists with department fiscal budgets and monitors costs to ensure budget compliance.
- Supervises Warranty personnel, including daily responsibilities, vacation approvals, performance management, timesheets, work hours, and training.
- Supervises, trains, and monitors the performance of direct reports.
- Ensures all Minto staff and trades partners abide by Alberta warranty regulations and Minto’s Health & Safety Policies
- Ensure strong employee engagement through regular coaching, training, and meetings.
- Responsible for completing all employee evaluations.
- Builds, manages, and maintains a high-performance team through effective talent recruitment, coaching, and development.
- Sets high standards, establishes accountabilities, and measures performance consistent with Minto’s Values
- All other duties within the role’s spirit and scope, as Management requested
We would like you to have:
- Post-secondary education – diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in managing a team of employees
- Knowledge of the NEWSTAR software
- Previous experience in Supervising or Managing a team in Warranty, Construction, or Homebuilding
- Previous work history in a customer-focused division
- A strong passion for achieving a high level of customer experience
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), Outlook
- Knowledge of 4D is an asset
