Overview:

This position is to design and sustain Mitel product and will work with overseas teams, suppliers, and multi-discipline teams closely. As a mechanical designer in mechanical design/sustaining team, you will participate in designing and sustaining work. You will be responsible for product development, prototype and debugging quality issues.

Responsibilities:

· Deliver the required design on schedule.

· Collaborate with other discipline.

· Failure analysis and improve product failure in a timely manner.

· Working closely with cross functional teams in different time zones.

· Drive suppliers given limited time and cost.

Requirements:

· Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering(preferred) or similar discipline.

· 2-5 years Hands-on design experience; Plastic injection molding (preferred), sheet metal, silicon rubber and etc.

· Mechanical PCB layout design, common feature etc.

· Self-starter with strong communication skills

· Understanding of DFX

· Understanding of manufacturing process(injection molding, sheet metal, compression molding, CNC and etc)

· Understanding of product development process from concept to mass production

· Understanding of tolerances, including (GD&T)

· Experience in tolerance analysis

· Hands-on Prototype fabrication experience (3D printing/debugging)

· Experience working with external suppliers for prototyping and tooling.

· Experience working with cross functional teams.

· Solid understanding of product cycle.

· Mass production experience is a big plus.

· Modeling skills : 3+ years modeling with Pro-e Creo (solid modeling, assembly, 2D drawing; Surface & Top-down modeling are a plus.)

Additional Preferred Skills:

· Agile PLM experience

· Structural simulation skill
