Modern College of Hairstyling and Esthetics Looking for Hairstyling Instructor at Greater Sudbury, ON Full Time

Hours of Work: 40 hours per week

Position Overview
The Hairstyling instructor will be responsible for preparing teaching materials and to deliver demonstrations of the skills required, lectures on theory, techniques, and terminology. Instructors will also be responsible to mark and grade the work of the students and to assist with individualized tutoring or remedial instruction. Hairstyling instructors are also responsible for completing salon services and providing customer service when required.

Education and Qualifications
The successful candidate for this position must:

• have a college diploma in Hairstyling;
• have an active hairstyling license;
• have five years previous experience within a salon setting;
• have teaching experience (considered an asset, not required);

• have familiarity Private Career Colleges and the Private Career Colleges Act (asset);

• be familiar with the Accessibility of Ontarians with Disabilities Act (asset);
• succeed with computer programs such as Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Outlook, Google Mail, Docs and Calendar, Skype, Adobe, and Moodle;
• be able to work with competition priorities and deadlines;
• deliver lectures to a wide range of students;
• conduct themselves professionally at all times;
• demonstrate hairstyling skills; and
• be able to communicate effectively with internal staff.
