Monkey Business Day Homes Looking for Day Home Educator at Medicine Hat, AB Full Time

We are looking to expand our team of licensed day home educators in Medicine Hat and surrounding area! This is a fantastic opportunity to work from home and still bring in an income!

No training is necessary, applicants receive access to a free online course that will earn them their Level 1 Early Childhood Education certificate. Additional funding available for you to further your education and increase your income! Monkey Business Day Homes provides all other support and training necessary.

Job duties:

-Provide a safe, welcoming and nurturing environment for children ages 0-12.

-Complete required paperwork including menu and activity planning, accident reports and field trip forms. Templates provided for your convenience!

-Meet standards set out by the Government of Alberta and Monkey Business Day Homes.

-Prepare nutritious meals and snacks for children.

-Communicate with families and the agency.

Requirements:

-Criminal Record checks and Child Welfare Intervention checks for any resident 18+ residing in the home

-Current first aid certificate

-3 personal references

-Landlord letter of consent (if applicable)

-Pets vaccinated for rabies, at a minimum (if applicable)

We start the process with an informal meeting to share standards, policies, procedures and requirements and let you ask any questions you might have. Monkey Business Day Homes strives to support our educators through a variety of innovative methods and policies!

Compensation is based on number of children in care, hours worked and education level. Educators with a current Level 1, 2 or 3 ECE certificate qualify for government wage top up. We provide additional home owner’s insurance needed to operate your day home and will reimburse for First Aid training after 6 months in operation.

Salary: $1,200.00-$4,500.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Medicine Hat, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

• Early Childhood General Education Teachers: 1 year (preferred)
