If you are a film lover and would like to contribute to supporting the next generation of filmmakers this volunteering opportunity is for you. We are currently looking for key volunteers to be a part of the team for the Montreal International Film Festival 2024.

The Montreal International Film Festival is a non-profit organization creating solutions to support young creators within the entertainment industry.
The role

Role: Communications Manager
Responsibilities
- Develop partnership opportunities to advance the non-profit’s objectives
- Responsible to lead client/partner meetings, assisted by the proper team members
- Lead the organisation/ logistics of the various MIFF programs and activities
- Lead weekly communication’s department team meeting, insure clear communications within the department.
- Set department monthly/weekly goals
- Responsible for the department’s task assignments
- Optimize and maintain department’s tools/organization
- Work with communication coordinators to insure progress on tasks
- Send weekly progress report to Central Manager
- Responsible to edit offers/partnership contracts, send them to be reviewed, approved and signed by founder. + Send the official offer to (partners/sponsors etc).
- Insure all contracts are saved/organized properly
Requirements
- The volunteering commitments are per festival season, from November 2023 to September 2024.
- Must be available a minimum of 1-4 hours per/week for team meetings and key tasks. Otherwise hours are on your own time.
- You must be located in Montreal to be considered, even if this is a remote role
- You are experienced in communications and leading a team.
- You are excited to share your skills for a good cause.
- Must be fully bilingual (ENG and FR)
