Job Opportunities
We are currently looking to fill multiple data developer positions across the Montreal office. From opportunities in Fixed Income and Prime Brokerage, to positions in Operations and Finance Technologies, all the way through to roles in Application Infrastructure and Firm Resilience, and everything in between, our software development teams in Montreal service several business lines, developing applications from front to back office as well as enterprise systems.
Our teams are hiring for various levels of experience, so whether you only have a few years of experience, or are a Senior Developer, Technical Lead or Team Lead, we want to speak with you!
As a member of a software development squad, you will:
- Design & develop innovative, reliable solutions using latest technology architecture
- Take ownership of the technology platforms
- Drive the modernization and agile agenda
- Collaborate and understand the needs and problems of our business line
Who should apply?
You should apply on this requisition if you have, at minimum, the following profile:
- 3 to 20 years of experience developing solutions as a Data Engineering specialist, Database Developer and/or Big Data Specialist
Should I highlight anything specific?
While this is not a requirement, we are very interested in people who have exposure to the following technologies or subjects. Don’t hesitate to highlight them on your resume!
- Experience with enterprise-scale, distributed, real time, highly accessed transactional databases and systems
- Experience with some of the following: Hadoop, Elastic search, Data lakes, Databricks, Snowflake, Kafka, Spark, Iceberg, Airflow, Delta Lake, Data Modeling, relational databases, columnar databases
- Experience in managing, development and tuning database code
- Experience building batch / real time data pipelines for production systems
- Experience with various data formats: Parquet, CSV, JSON, XML, Relational Data
- Experience of ETL development
- Programming experience using Java, Scala or Python
- Deep understanding of defect tracking tool such as Jira
- Experience/exposure to version control tools such as GIT
- Experience of working in Agile teams
- Experience/exposure to in-memory data stores like MemSQL
- Experience/exposure to Relational databases like Db2, Sybase and/or SQL Server
- Experience/exposure to NoSQL data stores like MarkLogic, MongoDB
