MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY & WORKING RELATIONSHIPS
DMS & leadership support on the assigned shift
Overviews the day to day operations to ensure minimum downtime
Ensure safety standards being adhered
Ensures that quality safety and efficiency standards are met on the assigned shift.
Promptly investigates/ reports and follows through with any incident in area of responsibility
Perform safety, information talks with crews if required
Ensures that periodic cleaning activities are completed as per their required schedule. Also verifies that the activities are completed properly & provides training and feedback where required.
Provided relief coverage to the packaging operators as required by the shift supervisor.
Complete Intelex incident reports as required.
Complete EAM work orders & parts requisitions as required.
Ensure that Operator PMs & cleaning activities are being completed as required.
Back up supervisors for vacations and as required.
Communicate with other departments planning and maintenance
All other tasks as assigned by the production supervisors.

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Demonstrated ability to understand the DMS system and train others.
Must have good leadership skills and be able to delegate tasks to others as directed by the shift supervisor.
Must be able to work independently and be able to direct others to ensure tasks are completed efficiently & effectively.
Must be able to communicate effectively with shift supervisors and other departments such as QA.
Capable of reading and understanding technical information.
Have a good mechanical and technical understanding of the packaging machines to troubleshoot and assist mechanics in fixing the problem
Ability to prioritize work during the shift and organize personnel accordingly
Must communicate with the shift supervisor regularly and provide information of any incidents/issues
Sensory attention required (sight, smell and hearing)
Must have a critical eye for detail, with a quick response to correct operational alarms and directing the operators towards solving the issue
Must have a demonstrated history of safe work habits and follow adhere to all company safety policies
Must be flexible to work rotating shifts
Previous experience with Microsoft Office is required.
Skill assessments will be required.
