We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatrist to join our practice as an independent contractor and provide exceptional care to our diverse clientele. Essentially, you run your own practice and we take care of everything for you!
Job Summary:
As an independent contractor Psychiatrist at Motion Pro Health, you will have the opportunity to establish and grow your own practice within our full-service clinic. We offer a flat rate room rental, which includes Medical Office Assistant (MOA) support (8AM-7:30PM), Electronic Medical Records (EMR) access, and all the necessary amenities for a seamless practice setup. You will collaborate with our multidisciplinary team of health professionals to provide comprehensive mental health care to our clients.
Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough psychiatric assessments, including diagnostic evaluations and treatment recommendations.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for clients, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
Prescribe and manage medications, while monitoring their effectiveness and potential side effects.
Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team, including psychologists, therapists, and other health professionals, to provide integrated and holistic care for clients.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with ethical guidelines and privacy regulations.
Participate in ongoing professional development and maintain current knowledge of best practices in psychiatric care.
Qualifications:
Medical degree (MD) from an accredited institution.
Completion of an accredited psychiatry residency program.
Board-certified or board-eligible in Psychiatry.
Current medical license and registration to practice in BC
Minimum of 2 years of experience in providing psychiatric services in a clinical setting.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.
