MPA has been retained by a leading Accounting and Consulting firm HQ’d in Montreal. MPA is recruiting a Senior External Auditor to join their team.

As a Sr. External Auditor, you will be playing a pivotal role in helping lead engagements.

A typical day will include:

  • Working closely with managers and partners to complete audit, review and NTR engagements.
  • Ensure that all engagement activities are completed in accordance with the Firm’s policies and procedures and that all queries and issues are satisfactorily resolved.
  • Preparing complete working paper (analytical review, evaluation of evidence and conclusion), small working paper files, financial statements and notes, corporate, trust and personal tax returns.
  • Lead field engagement teams, coaching and mentoring junior team members.
  • Prepare engagement budgets and monitor efficiencies.

What you need:

  • Passed CFE exam or have CPA Canada / US.
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience within Audit.
  • Experience with Audit, Review and Notice to Reader engagements in a variety of Industries
  • Experience with various software (MS Office, Caseware, Tax Prep).
  • Strong communication skills in English.
