Musashi Auto Parts Canada Inc. Looking for Food Services Associate at Arthur, ON Full Time

Job Summary:

Under the Human Resources (HR) guidance and direction run the day-to-day operation of the Associates Café Kitchen. Help to achieve the established goals and cost. Ensure that the highest standards for quality, service and cleanliness are promoted and consistent with the established Health Standards and Regulations. The Food Services Associate is responsible for the preparation and service of cafeteria food.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years’ experience working in a restaurant/catering/kitchen setting.
• Cooking School/Experience Preferred.
• College Restaurant Hospitality Diploma is preferred.
• Food Safe Handling Certificate or willing to be trained.
• A clear understanding of vegan and vegetarian cooking.
• Demonstrated knowledge of health & safety regulations and guidelines governing the food services industry.

Job Responsibilities:

• Create and prepare daily specials, soup, and salad(s).
• Ensure all menu items are prepared properly, safely and efficiently and served at the required times.
• Assure that the presentation of all menu items adhere to established standards.
• Assist with inventory management.
• Receive orders and rotate the storage areas, F.I.F.O. standard.
• Document and communicate any damaged or spoiled items to the Human Resources.
• Weekly product inventory counts to ensure accurate orders.
• Complete month end inventory counts.
• Inform the Human Resources department of any health and safety concerns.
• Perform other related duties as required.
• Weekly ordering of food items.
• Creation of a menu on a monthly basis.
• Preparation and service of monthly associate luncheon.
• Cash management and daily reconciliation.
