As Mysa’s product suite grows, so does our need to differentiate the unique value each product brings to our customers. Reporting to our Product Marketing Lead and collaborating closely with the extended Brand and E-commerce teams, the Product Marketing Specialist will support our efforts to launch new products and translate customer and market insights into authentic product messaging that resonates with our target demographic.
What You Will Do:
- Develop product messaging and content for new product launches
- Coordinate product launch workback schedules and ensure all contributing parties are informed and aligned on deliverables
- Customer interviewee recruitment and scheduling
- Sit in on customer interviews to take detailed notes (and eventually conduct them yourself!)
- Work closely with our Software Release Coordinator and Lifecycle Marketing Specialist to identify what releases are coming and how we should share them with our customers
- Contribute to product marketing content, including: sales decks, website copy, research presentations, how-to guides, and other types of content that educate customers and internal stakeholders about our products
- Assist with competitive analysis and market research.
Who You Are:
- 3-5 years of experience in a similar role is preferred (e.g. product marketing, marketing strategy, brand management, product management)
- Curious about human motivation and behaviour
- Familiar with customer interviewing procedures
- Ability to communicate with a high degree of polish (verbal and written)
- Extremely organized
- Proactive and independent
- Comfortable and confident when asking questions and sharing your perspective
- Fine working in a startup environment where processes are in development and priorities can shift quickly
- Experience marketing products in emerging categories is an asset
- Experience marketing brands with multiple product offerings is an asset
- Experience with niche products serving very specific customers is an asset
- Well-versed in Google Sheets/Excel (or willing to learn)
